To Write Love on Her Arms

I just joined the To Write Love on Her Arms cause. My friend Sam recommended it to me. I'm not sure if I can do anything to help, but I can at least show my support.

I also joined the Human Rights cause. Everyone deserves rights.

the Shape of Humans

Every human has a heart.
Every human has a brain.
Every human has a voice.

So why are some humans not felt?
Why are some humans not thought of?
Why are some humans not heard?

Because we're humans.... who think we're better.

BUT WE'RE NOT.

Taken

Beware of the shadows,
They hear your voice.
They listen and whisper,
And speak of your death.

Your secrets, they spread,
Your heart, be careful,
Don't give them yourself
Not happy, be fearful.

They twist and grin,
Laugh and smile,
Beautiful, yet deadly,
Stay for awhile.

They welcome and comfort,
They'll help you smile,
You won't want to leave,
You've forgotten.

The path is lost,
The light went out,
You can't leave the forest,
You stumble about.

The shadows,
They come,
They beckon for you.
Come back to them,
And rest forever.

You'll go with them,
Your heart, wide open,
Gone in the forest,
And lost in the dark.

Taken.

Raven's Melody

The fading light,
Darker than night,
Will never extinguish my soul.

It'll crack and shiver,
Bleed and shatter,
But never blown out by the wind.

Time and time again,
You believe that you will win,
Right before you crumble away.

The ravens, they come,
Like the slaves of the moon,
And lock away my heart.

Imprisoned,
Chained,
I feel no pain,
They'll never let me go.

The songs of Raven,
Melodies of death,
They sing you to sleep,
On your frost-ridden bed.

Sleep,
Slumber,
Lose yourself inside,
Think not of the world,
And forget your last breathe.

Left

The smiles, they fade,
The laughter, away,
The joys of friends,
Reach their end,
And the tie has slipped away.

You saw their face,
But now their back.
The look in their eyes,
Darker than black.

There are no tears,
No pain, no fears,
No regret to spare,
They can't even stare.

Alone, alone,
Left in the dark,
Trapped in the corner,
Cold as rock.

They don't come back,
You sit and wait,
Tick tock,
Tick tock.

The hour-glass goes,
Hour by hour,
Time just flows.

Time to think,
Time to wonder,
Time to regret,
And fill with thunder.

They continue to walk,
Gone and away,
Out the door,
Away from today.

There's nothing left,
They took it all,
The ribbons and chains,
Bonds and all.

They won't return,
Don't expect a knock,
Never again,
Will you be caught.

Protect yourself,
From the people outside,
Don't let them enter,
Don't let them inside.
