Over The Edge

(To be spoken or read with a "bouncy" children's story tune to it.)

Over the edge and under the bridge

Off to where we go.

We'll follow the pathway through the woods

Down the hills we'll roll.

Into the cave within the sea

We'll surface now and then to breathe.

And when we surface

We'll float there and lie

Wondering when we'll die.

To the sky

We'll look to see

The clouds above us taking leave

Flying away they go.

And toward the land

They'll float away.

Taking with them

Lights of day.

Leaving us to wonder there

When are we going to die.

And with the sun

Enters the moon

Taking up our sky.

We'll laugh and point

When they fall.

The little things

Not so small.

Taken with

The ocean's call.

Leaving us to fall and wait

For the day's daylight break.

Forcing us to wonder now

When are we going to die.

And then we're answered

By the waves.

Taken and taken

Like by weights.

Down we'll fall

Together and all.

We'll see you next time

Answer the call.

Together again

To wait and see

What your answer

There will be.

To wonder which

You should go.

Now you're gonna die.
